Carmanville is located along the beautiful Kittiwake Coast of Newfoundland, on Route 330, and is approximately 45 minutes from Gander. Once there, you’ll find that one of Carmanville’s greatest assets is its beautiful natural surroundings, including a wetlands walking trail and breathtaking ocean scenery.

A Holiday Message From Our Mayor

As we approach this festive season, I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from all the town councillors and myself.

Since the recent municipal election, we have been working and preparing for the next four years as your elected officials. There is a lot to learn, and with five new councillors, we are trying our best to keep you informed. It’s been a busy three months preparing a new budget and then planning our Christmas festivities. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the volunteers who work hard to keep this community going, especially our Fire brigade.

As you celebrate Christmas with your loved ones, please remember those who may be alone or missing loved ones this year, and if possible, reach out to them because our community’s strength lies in the care and compassion we have for each other.

I look forward to working with you and for you in the upcoming year.
