Resolve the winner of the Community Garden Sign contest is the Grade 3 Class of Phoenix Academy. The picture submitted will be used for a 4’ x 8’ sign (with a border) at the Community Garden with Grade 3 Class of Phoenix Academy 2021 written at the bottom of the sign. The other 6 pictures submitted by the remaining elementary classes will be used for 8” x 11 ½” signs to be installed on the Garden Beds. Prize to be determined depending on the class size.

Members were informed that the Tender for this year’s Water and Sewer Project has been called. The closing date is June 3rd, 2021.
Fire Van
Everything for the Van repairs is in with the exception of the stepper motor. Councillor Blackwood is checking on one that should fit. Members will be informed of the results.

Members were informed that the brakes on the Pumper failed on May 15th, 2021. Chamber was replaced by town workers. Council advised to bring the Pumper to Triple T to get the necessary adjustment.

Community Garden Sign
Phoenix Academy advised the posters for the Community Garden Sign contest should be submitted this week.

The Town has received approval for 1 Summer Student; Habitat for 3 and Rec. for 2. All positions are for 8 weeks at 35 hours per week.

Chlorination Chamber Repairs & Line Swabbing
The Chlorination Chamber repairs have been tentatively scheduled for May 10th, 2021. Water will be shut off for the entire community during the repairs and a Boil Water Advisory will have to be issued. After confirmation of the date for repairs, notices will be mailed to all residents.

Resolve that immediately following the repairs the waterlines will be swabbed as follows: All of Main Street South and Main Street North from the Chlorination Chamber up to and including Noggin Cove Road only. There is to be only 1 swab used during line swabbing.
Howell’s Avenue cannot be swabbed and the remainder of Main Street from Noggin Cove Road intersection to Noggin Cove Head will not be done at this time.

The water report from Government Services testing on April 13th, 2021 was satisfactory.
Screen Cleaning
Screens were cleaned on April 27th, 2021. The report and pictures were presented to and reviewed by members.
Clean up week
