Resolve that a Stop Work and Removal Order be issued on the Property at 113 Main Street. The Previous Stop Work and Removal Order and subsequent Appeal Board Ruling have expired but the property is still being used for the purpose of storage and loading/unloading stone/mineral/gravel which is not permitted under the Town Development Regulations in a Mixed Development Zone.

Playground
Clerk/Manager met with the Principal and Inspector regarding the remaining work to be done at the Playground. Inspector will work with the town to provide specific details on the location of equipment, pea stone requirements, etc.
Water-New Home
A letter was sent to the property owner requesting further information as required by Council. We are waiting on the response.
COVID-19 Work Plan
There were no questions or concerns regarding the COVID-19 Work Plan presented at the previous meeting. Clerk/Manager informed members of changes and additions to the plan to date. This is a living document that will need to be adjusted as changes to the Public Health Orders occur.

Resolve to accept cost-shared funding as outlined in the Municipal Affairs and Environment project approval letter dated June 11, 2020 to complete Water and Sewer Services Phase 3, Project # 17-GI-21-00034 for $1,106,134. The Town of Carmanville agrees to provide $100,308 in funding for this project and authorizes the Mayor and Town Clerk/Manager to enter into a funding agreement with the Department of Municipal Affairs and Environment on behalf of the Town of Carmanville.

Walking Trail Signs
Three COVID-19 Physical Distance signs have been ordered for the entrances to the walking trail.
Finance: No Hunting Signs
Clerk/Manager was instructed to check with the SAM Stewardship and the Dept. of Environment to determine the boundary for the Center and Trail to determine what area would be under the “No Hunting” Zone.
Summer Students
Members were informed that the Town did not receive approval for the Canada Summer Jobs but the Habitat Committee and Recreation Committee were both approved for 3 students each. The Town has received approval for 1 student from the Provincial Government and the Habitat Committee and Recreation Committee are still waiting to hear back from their applications.
Taxes
Clerk/Manager was instructed to research the items brought forward for Council’s consideration relating to the impact of COVID-19 for our community. Results will be brought to the next meeting for further discussion.
Public Works: Boil Order Lifted
The Boil Water Advisory was lifted on June 11th, 2020 as per test results from Government Services.
Screen Cleaning
The Screens were cleaned on June 9th, 2020. Pictures were presented to Council for their perusal.
Clean up week – ditches
There were no names submitted to clean up the ditches during clean up week. Members were in agreement to call in the Part-time Outside Worker to clean up the ditches.

Water @ Interpretation Center

Business
Arising: Habitat – Greenhouse
The Habitat Committee are in agreement with moving the shed to the end of the lawn where the extension is currently being built. They further agree that the greenhouse would be constructed where the current shed is located.
Noggin Cove Head Road
A couple of loads of gravel have been spread and some work done to the culvert. However, the culvert needs to be lowered and ditching needs to be done. This will be brought to the next meeting for further discussion.
FD – Black Ties
The Black Ties for the Fire Department Members have been ordered.
FD Member
A response from the member was presented to and approved by Council. Member will be notified of Council’s decision.
Playground
The School Board representative was unable to meet with town workers last week. We are waiting on his availability to set a new meeting date.
Spring Clean-up
Spring Clean-up is scheduled for the week of June 15th – 19th, 2020. Notices will be mailed this week.
Water-New Home
Further research is required and a meeting with all members will be set up as soon as possible to discuss this topic.
