Rink: Engineer Jim Harty gave his report on three different sites he checked out for the location of the rink – the former Baird property on Noggin Cove Road, the ballfield behind the school and the current location of the rink.

Resolve to replace the rink with a multi-use surface in its current location using Gas Tax money.

W.S. Project Members discussed the options and safety of stock piling fill during the Water and Sewer Project. Further research is required regarding the amount to be stock piled and whether it can safely be stock piled. Results will be brought back and if safety guidelines can be met, a location will then be chosen.
CEEP: Members discussed the Community Enhancement Program application. A materials list is required. Replacing the front steps to the Municipal Building was added to the list of duties. Building picnic tables was removed from the duties as there are two picnic tables available to use at the site.

The Collections Report for June was presented to and reviewed by members. Collection of arrears has been very good so far this year.

The Water Report from Government Services testing on July 7th, 2021 was satisfactory.
Public Works: Chlorine Readings
The Chlorine Readings for the month of June were presented to and reviewed by members and found to be within guidelines.
Water Usage/Flow Data
The Water Usage and Flow Data for the Month of July was presented to and reviewed by members. Average water usage was 172,191 gallons per day.
Screen Cleaning
A report of the Screen Cleaning done on July 8th, 2021 was presented to and reviewed by members.

Trash Pump
Town Worker requested to buy a Trash Pump and submitted a price quote. Further research is required regarding the status of the Trash Pump the town already has.
Hydrant Flushing
Members discussed complaints of lawns being washed out during hydrant flushing. Members were in agreement that the workers have to put pipe on hydrants where appropriate during flushing to prevent washing out resident’s lawns.

The request to build a shed at 38 A Main Street was approved as per Policy and Town’s Accessible Building Permit Regulations. The site was approved by Newfoundland Power as well since there was an overhead powerline at the location.
