Business: MHA Meeting Update
A meeting was held with MP Jonathan Rowe, MHA Jim McKenna, both of their Assistants, Mayor Marilyn Tulk, Council members and staff as well as Fire Chief Nathanael White. Also in attendance were representatives from the Town of Musgrave Harbour, Local Improvement Committee of Frederickton, Local Service District of Main Point/Davidsville and local residents.
The meeting was to lobby for RCMP return to our Detachment and reside in the vacant houses in Carmanville or work on rotation.
MP Jonathan Rowe will do up a petition and send it to MHA Jim McKenna’s assistant who will forward it to all Municipalities and Local Service Districts in our area. The petitions will then be circulated in the communities through businesses and if they can get 25 signatures from each community they will both bring it back to the House of Commons and House of Assembly. The Petitions will allow them to speak on the issue in their respective sessions.
MHA Jim McKenna is hoping to set up a meeting with the Justice Minister that could possibly be held here so the public along with representatives from other communities can attend.

This meeting was called to discuss snow clearing of the rink. Councillor Nippard went to see how much snow and ice accumulation was on the rink. He advised there was quite a bit that neither snowblower or shovel will be able to be removed. There was a resident that had volunteered to bring their small utility tractor to clear off the rink for us.
In MIN1522 it was resolved that:
