Members viewed the new filing cabinet before the meeting.
Cupboard – Safety Binders
Members were in agreement to use the table that was previously given to the town to make a new cupboard for the Safety Binders.
Finance: Floor Tiles – Mun. Bldg.
Members were in agreement to purchase 1 box of floor tiles to complete the flooring in the bathroom; to wait for a Community Enhancement Program to do the flooring in the Lobby, Hallway, Bathroom and Kitchen, and to rent a steam cleaner and have the town worker steam clean the carpet in Council Chambers.

Members were in agreement that a donation would not be made at this time.
Public Works: Water Report
The Water Report from Government Services was reviewed and found to be satisfactory.
Water Resource Report THM’s & HAA’s
The THM’s and HAA’s reported for the town taken from the water sampling done by the Dept. of Environment on June 8, 2019 showed the THM’s and HAA’s were both slightly above the recommended guidelines. This report is now available on the website:

Public Works: Chlorine Readings
Chlorine Readings for the month of January were presented to and reviewed by members. Readings were satisfactory and within guidelines.
Monthly Usage/Flow Data
The average monthly water usage for January was 130,453 gal/day.
Chlor. Chamber Damage
Pictures of damage to the Chlorination Chamber were presented to and reviewed by members. Members were in agreement to install a guard rail or some other protective barrier in front of the building in the spring.
Public Works: Sander Repairs
Members were informed that the Sander Chain had loosened and was tightened up by the workers and is operational again.
Complaint re: Snowclearing
Two complaints were brought forward about snow clearing worker’s driveways. Under the town’s policy, both the Town Manager and Outside Worker’s driveways are cleared by the town to enable them to get to work. The part-time operator didn’t realize those were the only driveways cleared and allegedly cleared his own and the other part-time worker’s driveways. In the meantime, the Outside Worker has been on sick leave and both part-time workers have been covering his duties.
Fire Dept: Training Grounds Proposal

Poker Run/Helmet/Prize Money
Members discussed the upcoming Poker Run on Feb. 22nd, 2020. The Fire Department have Notices out and since 2014 or prior, they have made it a requirement to wear a helmet to participate in the Poker Run. The explanation of prize money distribution is not clear on the Notice. Members were in agreement to inform the Fire Department Members to explain the prize distribution to all participants prior to the run.
Fire Dept: Lottery License Application
The Lottery License Application for “Grand in the Hand” fundraiser has been submitted. Tickets have to be commercially printed. Date for the Draw is March 22nd, 2020 at the Regular Public Council Meeting. Fire Department has been advised of the controls pertaining to the fund raiser previously put in place by Council.
Fireman’s Ball Pictures
The Fireman’s Ball Pictures were given to the town on a jump drive which has been passed to the Fire Department for member viewing. Members were in agreement that each member could pick a picture they would like printed at the expense of the town. A framed 8 x 10 picture of the group was given to the Fire Department and one will be hung on the wall at the Municipal Building.

Clerk/Manager was advised to check our insurance for coverage for the clean-up. Members were in agreement to proceed with getting the tank cleaned out at the lowest quote received.
