New Business: Citizen Complaint
A concern was brought forward regarding the tractor trailer bed parked on the shoulder of the road and within 33 ft. of the center of the road. Resident was concerned about the possibility of an accident in the event of meeting oncoming traffic and not being able to pull onto the shoulder of the road if need be. As the shoulder of the road is Transportation and Works right of way, members were in agreement to pass the concern onto them and to inform the owner of the vehicle of the complaint received.
Speed Bumps
A request to install speed bumps that can be removed in the fall was discussed by members. Members were in agreement to contact Transportation and Works for more information which will be brought back to the next meeting for further discussion.
Members also think the lack of police presence in the community contributes to the speeding problem. Members were in agreement to contact the RCMP to get an update on when we can expect to see RCMP Members living in the community and request more presence on a daily basis.
