The Tender for the W/S Project, Phase 2 (MIGA#17-CCWF-17-00049) was awarded to H. Wareham & Sons Ltd. in the amount of $795,935.47 on August 8, 2017. The Contractor is expected on site by August 14th, 2017 to commence project.

Public Works: Water Report
Satisfactory.
Water Usage/Flow Data
The average Water Usage for July was approximately 175,000 gals/day.
Chlorine Readings
The Chlorine Readings for July were reviewed by members and found to be average and within guidelines.
Public Works: Screens @ Pond
The Screens at the Pond were cleaned July 17th and August 8th, 2017. Pictures and reports were reviewed by members. Members were in agreement to continue the practice of checking the screens weekly and cleaning as required for the remainder of the summer.
Alders @ Intersections
Members were in agreement to write Transportation and Works regarding the alders at the Intersection of Howell’s Avenue and Main Street and Route 330 as this is a safety/traffic hazard and their responsibility. It was also agreed to request the potholes throughout the community be repaired.
Loader Hire

Seniors Garden Party
The Seniors Garden Party is scheduled for August 18th, 2017 from 2 – 4 p.m. at the Municipal Grounds. MHA Derrick Bragg volunteered to serve the tea.
Single Use Plastic Bags
Members were in agreement to download the Petition to ban single use Plastic Bags and place it in the Town Office.
Beach Clean Up
The Habitat Committee and the Green Team will be conducting a Beach Clean-up on Friday, August 11th, 2017. Members were in agreement to provide the garbage bags and the town pickup to collect and dispose of garbage/material collected.
