Broken sewer line complaint
Pictures were provided showing a sewer pipe that was dug up and exposed and was not replaced but covered back up during the waterline repairs on Main Street last summer. The sewer pipe on opposite side of the road is dry which indicates the grey water that was supposed to run out there isn’t. This has caused problems in the residence with sewer backup. The resident is requesting Council fix the problem as soon as possible.
Members were in agreement to investigate this problem and will have the town workers insert a snake through the pipe on the opposite side of the road as soon as possible to determine if there is a blockage. Following those results members will further discuss the problem and decide how to address it.
